One of the nice bits about running a mixed platform shop is that I can assign different tasks to different platforms and cater to each platform’s strength. If convenience and ease of use is important, the Mac comes to the fore. Corporate compatibility will bring Windows to the table and price/performance usually has Linux (lately Ubuntu variant) coming to the rescue.

So long as you can maintain it all (not a problem in this case), having multiple platforms expands your options, and allows for an efficiency that’s hard to beat.
