Citizen Intelligence’s scope is so large that it is unrealistic to hope that the entire space would be without other entrants. There are a number of applications that cover individual areas of interest, some of them well established and mature ecosystems in their own right. OpenStreetMap covers a big chunk of physical infrastructure that governments handle traditionally. Citizen Intelligence won’t compete with focused verticals like this. Instead the strategy is going to be to partner with them and create mirrors and conduits so that their data is available within the Citizen Intelligence ecosystem and updates and additions made or acquired within that ecosystem flow back upstream to the vertical, focused application. Only in cases of outright refusal to partner will competition start and then only reluctantly.
